The Bible
We believe the Bible is uniquely the Word of God, the source of what we believe and teach about God and what God requires of us (2 Timothy 3:16).
-
Expositional Preaching
We believe that we should approach the Word of God to hear what God would say to us; therefore, we proclaim and carefully explain the meaning of Bible passages, while applying it to our lives (2 Timothy 4:2).
-
Proclaiming the Gospel
We have experienced the saving, forgiving, and transforming power of Jesus Christ in our own lives, so we want to proclaim that salvation is a gift of God received by grace alone through faith in Jesus Christ alone. We do this personally, corporately and globally through missions (Matthew 28:19-20).
-
Biblical Salvation
We believe that only God can save, and that he saves individuals by enabling them to respond to the gospel message by turning from sin and rebellion against God to trusting and serving Christ (Titus 3:3-5).
-
Church Membership
We believe that every Christian is called to attend, love, and serve a local church. God calls His people to live in a community of love and commitment to one another (Hebrews 10:24-25).
-
Plural Church Leadership
We are an elder-led congregational church. The elders functions as co-equal spiritual overseers of the congregation. But the final authority (under Christ) is the assembled body of believers (1 Peter 5:1-5).
